Summary

CLASS SCHEDULE: Classes are in-person only and take place 9am-1pm, each Wednesday for 12 weeks, January 11 through March 29, 2023.
Explore local habitats and ecosystems in this interactive 12-program series (40 Course Hours). Participants interact with and ask questions of experts in various fields of Georgia ecology, as well as develop new relationships with peers who share the same interests. This in-person course is tailored for the local environment within the framework of the Georgia Master Naturalist course developed by The University of Georgia Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources. Each session combines lecture and field study segments. AREAS OF DISCOVERY WILL INCLUDE: Birds/Birding, Tree Identification/Ecology, Georgia Fisheries, Lake Ecology, Native Plants and Conservation, Botany and Mycology, Entomology, Pollinators and Planting for Pollinators, Reptiles/Amphibians, Snakes of Georgia, and MORE!
PLEASE NOTE: Minimum enrollment requirement is 12 participants, ages 16* and older. Enrollment is limited to 25 participants. (*Minors be accompanied by an adult also a registered participant in this course.)
