As part of the Nature Center's Life-long Learning programming series, Elachee welcomes Certified Forest Therapy Guide Robin Hancock to guide you through a Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing) experience. This is an adult-only walk covering a quarter to half a mile in distance over well maintained trail in Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve. Participants will be offered a series of invitations during the walk that will reconnect you to the natural world. Unlike hiking or strolling in nature, a Forest Bathing experience invites you to use all of your senses to become immersed in the Forest, imparting to the participant physiological, mental, and even spiritual benefits. Though individual experiences vary greatly, each participant will leave the walk having received according to their personal needs.
